about your therapist

My name is Susan, and I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I provide trauma-informed, personalized care, including Brainspotting, supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, low self-esteem, life transitions, and the effects of toxic or challenging relationships.

I am passionate about the collaborative therapeutic relationship and how early experiences and relational patterns shape the way we understand ourselves and connect with others. My approach is holistic and humanistic, drawing from Narrative Therapy, IFS, ACT, and strengths-based practices to meet each person’s unique needs. Brainspotting allows me to help clients access and release deep-seated patterns safely and effectively, often accelerating insight and emotional healing in ways that traditional talk therapy alone may not.

A little more about me:

My heart belongs to my wonderful family. I have an incredible husband and two amazing children who make me proud every day. At home, I share life with a silly cat who loves to chew cords (any cord, really) and a golden retriever who keeps life cuddly, calm, and joyful.

Fun facts: I enjoy playing piano and guitar (mostly when no one is listening), practicing yoga and Pilates, and I always make time for my weekly spin class. Reading on my Kindle helps me unwind at bedtime, and my go-to treat is a Starbucks sweet cream vanilla cold brew.
